Meet Ruth Nickel

Ruth and her husband Bruce have owned and operated a small home renovation company for many years.

As their business grew, they struggled to find an accounting firm that “fit” with their needs. There were many meetings with various accountants that left them feeling confused and definitely frustrated.

They were referred to Pi and Erik by a mutual friend and have been clients for the past five years. Every interaction with Erik confirmed that they were finally in the right place. He discusses financial situations in a way that is easy to understand and always provides real examples that are relevant to their business requirements.

In 2020, Ruth joined the Pi team as a part-time bookkeeper. She brings a strong knowledge of the challenges facing small businesses and an interest in assisting others. Ruth has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and many years of branch banking with a major financial institution. She enjoys the challenges provided by all the different clients at Pi and the constant learning that is required to keep up with the changing needs of our clients.

In her spare time, Ruth enjoys hanging with her husband and friends, volunteering, keeping
active and looking after other people’s dogs.
